Donte has been a great addition to our team, his skills and knowledge behind the camera are very impressive and his professionalism as and intern is what our organization pride itself on and felt that Donte embodied. "The reason behind me wanting to work for the Thank you Organization is because I’m a young man from Malton that played Basketball growing up luckily, I had the chance to be coached and mentored by Freddy Appiah. Through hearing what he wants to do for the community and student athletes I decided that I would like to take part because of my love for basketball and my community. With the T.Y.O I am hoping to help the youth on their journey through life on and off the court.

MEDIA TEAM

Our media team was put together based on specific needs, specific qualifications, and most importantly specific characteristics. Our team is dynamic and multi-talent, not only that; their passion for photography, and media, coupled with the passion and love for basketball and community is what makes this tea so uniquely great.

I’ve studying Photography/ Videography for some time now, I took Sports Journalism in school, so it wasn’t foreign to me. I picked up my camera again and started shooting with a passion to be different. I wanted the world to be able to see my work not just as ordinary video or photo, but something was created as if the basketball court was canvas. When Freddy approached me for this role, it was the perfect opportunity to allow me to showcase my work, I was in Philadelphia shooting Allen Iversons Roundball Classic, I continue to work with NPH and NPA, shooting a lot of the athletes from the east coast all the way to the west coast.
This camera is not just art for me it’s a teaching moment, it allows me to see things that a lot of players may not see or notice. With coaching experience in my background, I’m able to help athletes adjust and see other options to better their game. I love to teach and be creative this is how I give back to the community

Shaquille has been a great addition to our organization his professionalism and down-to-earth spirit make it easy for the youth to gravitate towards him. His knowledge of organized sports was and asset and his willingness to learn and be apart of a community with a goal to teach and inspire was something that we admired about Shaquille. "I chose to join the T.Y.O as an intern because they presented the challenges of a young organization. An organization where my knowledge and skills could be put to the test. I believed in their mission to help improve the surrounding community while teaching the fundamentals of basketball to the next generation".
